the online live music gig guide for birmingham & the midlands

Andy Oliveri and the Mountaineers

Six Sisters’ is the latest release from the Cheltenham-based collective and follows the critically acclaimed single ‘Where Wild Flowers Grow Fondly’ which was featured on Mark Radcliffe (BBC6Music), Steve Lamacq (BBC6Music) and John Kennedy (Radio X).

Combining motorik rhythms, erratic guitars and soaring vocal harmonies, the single dis-plays a sonic shift with the band taking on the role of production for the first time.

Having curated their own sold-out festival of music and art last year, the band will taking their mesmerising show back out on the road in July.

"Testament to the musicianship and songwriting; taking direct influence from abrasive and left field genres and creating something completely the opposite." - ★★★★★ Vulture Hound

"It's hard to ignore a song as dreamy, psychedelic, hypnotic, and broadly experimental as this." - Gigwise
